Winter
Gästis Lodge offers the perfect location to access Vemdalen's various ski resorts and cross-country trails. With the snowmobile trail right by the property, you can easily head out for an adventure.
Downhill Skiing
For the best downhill skiing experience, head to Vemdalsskalet, Björnrike, Storhogna, and Klövsjö.

The link between the ski areas is a very nice trail system for both recreational skiers and professionals.
Many beautiful trails
Approximately fifty kilometers of groomed trails in protected mountain forest terrain are prepared daily. The trails in Vemdalen, Vemdalsskalet, and Klövsjö also offer floodlighting.
Scenic skiing
For those who enjoy going on a tour, a marked and easy-to-navigate trail system is available in the mountains.

Cozy waffle cabins and a large number of rest huts along the way.

Our snowmobile trail just outside Gästis takes you up to the mountain. Here, you'll find an extensive network of trails.

Sonfjället
Feeling adventurous? Then take the car to Nyvallen’s mountain farm and hike to the top of Sonfjället from there.
Sonfjällets nationalpark
If you'd rather skip the climbing, it's enough to experience the atmosphere of a living mountain farm. Simply strolling through the national park is a memorable experience in itself.
Golf
We have two golf courses within a 15-minute drive, and three more within an hour.
Next door
Klövsjö/Vemdalens Golf Club offers 18 holes in beautiful mountain-adjacent terrain, while Hede-Vemdalens Golf Club, with Sonfjället as a backdrop, is even closer. Both courses provide a fantastic golfing experience in a picturesque setting.
Waterfalls
The area has many waterfalls worth visiting. Bring a snack and discover the tranquility of the falls!
Two waterfall tips
